We’ve employed screens with a fine mesh and metal detectors at the batch preparation stage. This is followed by another set of metal detection devices before the packaging process. We are investigating installing a X-ray appliance for not metal contaminants.
Is the latter the most effective method or is there new technology, such as object identification by way of cameras, available.

What is the best way of removing identified object from a production line, other than by physical hand picking?

As our product is light in weight, is there no pneumatic method of blowing such particles off the line?

Thanks

Johann Fourie
